Import CVs

This is for recruiters who have CVs from outside Orbit, for example from email or an old system. Each PDF becomes a Virtual CV held for that person. Importing is free.

Open My candidates

Select My candidates in the sidebar. You can also start from a role’s Candidates tab.

Choose where they go

Under Add them to, choose My candidates or one of your roles.

Add each person

For each person, enter Name and Email, then choose their CV (PDF). Select + Add for another row.

Leave Email each person about their CV ticked to send each person an email from Wipperoz. It names your company and lets them claim the CV or have it deleted. Untick it to send the email later from My candidates.

Confirm you have permission

Tick the box confirming you have each candidate’s permission, or another lawful basis, to create a Virtual CV from their document.

Start the import

Select Import CVs at the bottom of the dialog. The button shows how many CVs you are importing.

Check the results

Orbit builds the Virtual CVs and shows where each person ended up. Select Done to close, or Import more.

A file is refused

Only PDF files are accepted, up to 10 MB and 6 pages each. Each email can appear on only one row.

The import stopped part way

If the files uploaded but the import didn’t finish, select Try again. Nobody is imported twice.

Some CVs are still processing

Some CVs take longer to build. They appear in My candidates when they are ready.

Limits

You can import up to 25 people at a time. Each PDF can be up to 10 MB and 6 pages.

What each result means

Ready: the Virtual CV is built. If you chose to email them, they can claim or decline it.
Has a Virtual CV: the person already has a Wipperoz account. Nothing is attached to their account and your file is deleted. If you chose to email, they are invited to share their CV.
Opted out: the person asked not to be held on Wipperoz. Nothing is kept and nobody emails them.
Failed: Orbit couldn’t read the CV, and the file is deleted.

After the import

Imported CVs appear in My candidates. Treat what they say as self-reported, because they are built from the PDF you uploaded.

If a CV is not claimed within 90 days, it is deleted. If the person declines, the CV is deleted.

To send the claim email later, open My candidates and select Send claim email next to the person, or Send again to resend it. Wipperoz emails a person about their CV at most once a month, and your team has a daily limit on claim emails.
