Give a client contact their own view
Updated
client view, hiring manager view, client portal, all roles, client access, turn off client accessA client view is one page where a saved client contact sees every shortlist you sent them on that client’s roles, by role, and gives their verdicts. If your account hires for its own organisation, it’s called Hiring manager view. Every contact you save has one, and it’s on until you turn it off.
Open the client
Select Clients in the sidebar, then select the client.
Find the contact
Under Client contacts, find the person. Their row says when they last opened their view, or Not opened yet.
Send them the link
Select Send client view link. Orbit emails them the link and says which address it went to.
I don't see Send client view link
Their client view is off: the row says Client view off. Select Edit, turn on Client view and select Save. Viewers can’t send the link: ask an Admin or a recruiter on your team.
The person isn't listed
Only saved contacts have a client view. Select Add a client contact to save them first. See Add clients and link them to roles.
What they see
They open the link and confirm their email address with a 6-digit code, the same check as a shortlist link. The page lists the client’s roles that have a shortlist they can see, newest first. They open a shortlist to see its candidates, give their verdicts and comment, just as they would from a shortlist link.
Every shortlist you send to a saved contact whose view is on also links to their view in the email. A client view link works for 90 days. To give them a new one, select Send client view link again.
Let them see every shortlist on the client’s roles
By default, a contact sees only the shortlists sent to them. To let them see every shortlist on this client’s roles, including those sent to others:
- Select Edit next to the contact.
- Turn on Sees all roles for this client, then select Let them see every role.
- Select Save.
They can then give a verdict on any of those shortlists, as themselves. When they first open one that wasn’t sent to them, they appear on its Sent to client card marked via client view. They have no link of their own there, so there’s nothing to resend, but you can still Revoke their access to that shortlist.
Turn a client view off
- Select Edit next to the contact.
- Turn off Client view, then select Turn it off.
- Select Save.
Every client view link they hold stops working. Turning the view back on restores them. Shortlist links you emailed them directly keep working: to end one of those, revoke it on the shortlist. See Manage a shortlist you sent.
Deleting a contact also ends their client view.
