AI matches for a role

Updated

This is for recruiters with a managed job ad who want to find people who haven’t applied yet. Matching runs on its own once the ad is managed and published.

Open the role

Select Jobs in the sidebar, then select a managed role.

Open the Candidates tab

Select the role’s Candidates tab. While matching runs, the header shows Matching your pool… and matches appear as they are found. You don’t need to wait on the page.

Show only matches

Under Source, select Matches. People who match but haven’t applied carry the AI match badge.

Open a match

Select a person to read their Virtual CV and see why they match.

Invite them to apply

Select Invite to apply. Wipperoz sends one email with the role and the apply link. Their address stays with us.

There are no matches

Matching needs a managed ad. If the role isn’t managed, see Manage a job ad. Matching also stops when the role reaches the match limit you set, or passes its end date. You can raise or clear the limit in Stop matching after on The ad tab.

The invitation wasn't sent

Read the message shown. The person may have turned invitations off, already applied, already been invited to this role, or had enough invitations this week. The ad must be published, because the invitation links to it.

Reading the match score

A match score is a similarity measure, not an assessment. On each person, select Why this score to see how they compare with the role. For an AI reading of their CV against the role, select Assess fit with AI.

Getting more matches

When the first batch of matches is in, Orbit may show More candidates with a count. Select the button that says Read, the number of people and more (for example, Read 12 more) to have Orbit read the next batch. The list keeps growing as new candidates join, at no extra cost.

Re-scoring matches

If scoring has changed since a role was matched, select Re-score matches and confirm with Re-score. Stages, notes and the shortlist stay as they are. Only the scores and the reasoning change.

Suggestions from your past roles

Under Suggested from your past roles, select Find suggestions. Orbit looks at your past roles that are most like this one and suggests applicants and people from My candidates who fit it. To see them in the list, select Suggested under Source.

Screening and interviewing a match

You can’t screen or interview someone who only matched. Invite them to apply first. Once they have applied, you can send a screening or propose an interview.
