Verify an employer with your work email
Updated
verify experience, work email, employer verified, company email, verified badgeThis is for proving you work, or worked, at a company on your CV. You need access to an email address at that company’s domain. Personal addresses such as Gmail or Outlook can’t be used.
Open the CV in the builder
In the sidebar, select My Virtual CVs, then select Edit on the CV.
Open Experience
In the Sections list, select Experience.
Start verifying the employer
On the role, select Verify next to the company name.
Pick your employer, if asked
If we find more than one company with that name, select yours from the list.
Enter your work email
Enter your email address at the company’s domain.
Send the code
Select Send code. The button shows how many credits it uses, charged when the code is sent.
Enter the code
Enter the 6-digit code from your inbox.
Confirm
Select Verify.
I don't see Verify next to a role
The role needs a company name. Add it in the role, then look again. If the role already shows Verified, there’s nothing more to do.
We couldn't match this employer
We couldn’t link that company to an email domain, so it can’t be verified this way. Check the company name is spelled as the company writes it.
This email's domain doesn't belong to the selected employer
The window names the company’s domain, and your address must end with it. Personal email providers are rejected. If you picked the wrong company, close the window and start again.
The code is wrong or expired
You have a limited number of tries. If the code has expired or you’ve had too many tries, select Resend code to get a new one. Each new code uses credits again.
What happens next
The company shows as verified across all your Virtual CVs, with a Verified badge on the role. Your work email address is never shown publicly.
For the credit cost, see Virtual CV plans and pricing.
