Stop an employer reading your CV
Updated
withdraw, remove access, employer access, revoke, privacy, appliedWhen you apply to a job on Wipperoz, the employer can read the CV you applied with, contact details included, while your application is open. That stays true even if you take the CV offline. This shows you how to end that access.
Open the CV you applied with
In the sidebar, select My Virtual CVs, then select Edit on the CV.
Open Public settings
At the top of the builder, select Public settings.
Find the employer
Under Employers you applied to, find the employer. Each one shows the role you applied for and whether they can still read the CV.
End their access
Select End access next to the employer.
Confirm
Read the message, then select End access to confirm.
I don't see Employers you applied to
The list only appears on a CV you’ve applied with. Check you opened the CV you used for that application.
What happens next
- The employer keeps your application, but can no longer open this CV. They see that you withdrew access.
- If the employer saved your CV for future roles, that copy ends too.
- If the CV is live, they can still see its public version, like anyone with the link. To stop that too, take the CV offline. See Publish your CV and share the link.
You can’t undo this from the app. Applying to one of their roles again shares the CV again.
When access ends on its own
When the role closes, the employer’s access ends after a short period. The list shows the date, for example Role closed · can read it until, followed by the date. You can still select End access to make it final, so they can’t read it if the role reopens.
