Publish your CV and share the link
Updated
go live, make public, publish, share link, QR code, unpublish, offline, privateThis shows you how to make your Virtual CV live, share its link, and take it offline again. A CV that isn’t live is visible only to you.
Open the CV in the builder
In the sidebar, select My Virtual CVs, then select Edit on the CV.
Open Public settings
At the top of the builder, select Public settings.
Turn the CV on
On the card that says This CV is not published, turn on the switch. The card changes to This CV is live, and the CV’s status at the top of the builder changes to Live.
Copy your link
On the This CV is live card, select Copy next to your link. Paste it anywhere: an email, LinkedIn, or a job application.
The switch won't turn on
If you’re building this CV for someone else, you can’t publish it. The person it’s for can publish it once they claim it. The reason is shown under the switch.
Other ways to share
From My Virtual CVs:
- Select Share on a CV to open its QR code. Select Copy Share Link to copy the link.
- Open More actions on a CV and select Send to recruiter to email the CV as a PDF, with your link, to a recruiter’s address. If the PDF hasn’t been generated yet, generating it uses credits.
On the dashboard, the Share my CV quick action also lets you copy your link or open the QR code.
To make extra links with a password, an expiry date or a view limit, see Create share links for your CV.
What going live means
- Anyone with the link can see the CV.
- The CV can be matched to jobs. Offline CVs are never matched.
- Your public page shows what you’ve chosen in Public settings. See Control what’s public on your CV.
Take the CV offline
Open Public settings and turn off the switch on the This CV is live card. While it’s off, the CV stops being matched to jobs and your existing links stop working. Your address stays yours, and it starts working again when you go live.
