video, intro video, record, upload video, webcam, video CVThis shows you how to add a short video introduction to a Virtual CV. Recruiters see it first on your CV. Videos don’t use credits.
Open the CV in the builder
In the sidebar, select My Virtual CVs, then select Edit on the CV.
Open the Introduction section
In the Sections list, select Introduction.
Add a video
Under Video introduction, select Record an intro. If the CV already has a video, the button says Record a new one.
Choose how to add it
In Add a video intro, select Record now to use your camera, Upload a video to use a file, or Choose from your videos to reuse one you already have (shown only if you have videos).
Record your video
If you’re recording, press the record button, speak for up to 60 seconds, then press it again to stop.
Keep the video
Select Use this video, or Retake to try again.
Show it on your public CV
Turn on Show my video on the public CV.
Close the panel
Select Done.
Camera access is blocked
Allow camera access for the site in your browser settings (the lock icon next to the address), then select Try again. If your device has no camera, select Upload a video instead.
My video file isn't accepted
Use an MP4, MOV, AVI or WEBM file of up to 60 seconds and no more than 200 MB.
Manage your videos
All your videos live on the Videos page in the sidebar. Select New video to record or upload one there, and reuse it on any CV.
A video that’s attached to a live CV can’t be deleted. Remove it from the CV first.
Tips
- No script needed. Start with a strong first line, say why you fit, and give one real example.
- Look at the camera lens, and check the Good light and Mic OK indicators before you start.
Hiding the video
To hide the video without removing it, open Public settings and turn off Video intro under What recruiters can see.
